The primary focus of this thesis addresses the ways in which technological innovations continue to change the traditional small business model. More specifically, this thesis analyzes how Internet-enabled technologies and marketplaces, such as eBay, have radically altered the way small businesses are started and operated, which has leveled the playing field between new online sales businesses and traditional retail sales organizations.
