The concept of Necessovation -- Strategic management theoties -- Create an innovation machine -- Do-or-die marketing -- Why Necessovation? -- What if---the virtual environment -- A: Innovation process checklist - B: Second Life product fact sheet - C: Second Life tip sheet.
How does a company stay ahead of the curve? The solution is: innovation. If an organization has a process and the wherewithal to create what can be referred to as an innovation machine, it will be generations ahead, while leaving rivals struggling to figure out how they became followers. However, to as many organizations can attest, innovation alone may not always be enought to establish a sustained competitive environment in today's marketplace. As the title of this paper proposes, the integration of necessity and innovation may offer a bolstered solution. Termed by the student as "necessovation", the solution can be thought of as creating the need for an innovative idea where it was once previously non-existent. Application of this new concept will also be applied in a virtual environment.
