This essay attempts to evaluate the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a long term career for the engineer. The problem was initiated by a perception of several groups that the DNR is merely a training ground for other companies and would not be an optimal long term career. The evaluation was performed using a questionnaire sent to all engineers in the DNR and a review of available literature.
